Hello my fellow readers. Today I'm going to talk about "The Crown Of The Gilded Bones" by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Which is the third book of the series "Blood and Ash."

The first part of the book was a lot of repeating and there was a lot of dialogue that didn't need to be there.. I think the book would be complete as well, if it had like 300-400 pages instead of 625 pages. Another reason why I gave this book 4 stars, was because there was a part that I thought "again with the unnecessary dialogue, the questions and the same answers from Kieran.." But eventually after all of that, I still enjoyed the book at the ending.

Poppy has been quite the same thru this book, except near the ending. We know she is unique and she is more than she seems (I know this because this book reminds me a lot of how special she was, a bit too much sometimes). But when the ending came nearer, she damn was special as hell! That part was the moment I waited this entire book for and it came. That was the part that reminded me why I love Poppy as a character.

The other characters are exciting as well. I really enjoyed Kieran's character and his family. And I still love Casteel. He teases a lot but he really cares for the people he loves and he will do everything for Poppy, and damn he proved it..

The world-building is much bigger and clearer now. My imagination does not necesarry need the map anymore. But a book is always better with a map within it. However, the book I have doesn't have a map in it (this map is from the internet).

The story started of slow and was a lot of repeating, but then the plot twists came.. The characters developed a lot (eventually) and the ending.. was big. I damned myself for starting this series because it isn't finished and I want answers. But that doesn't matter, because I probably will reread this before the next book gets published. There where parts that were harder to read thru (because of the repeating). But if I look at the complete book, I still enjoy the story Jennifer is developing. I really recommend this series, especially if you are into fantasy, NA, werewolves and vampires.

Synopsis:
She's been the victim and the survivor..
Poppy never dreamed she would find the love she's found with Prince Casteel. She wants to revel in her happiness but first they must free his brother and find hers. It's a dangerous mission and one with far-reaching consequences neither dreamed of. Because Poppy is the Chosen, the Blessed. The true ruler of Atlantia. She carries the blood of the King of Gods within her. By right the crown and the kingdom of hers.

The enemy and the warrior..
Poppy has only ever wanted to control her own life, not the lives of others. But now she must choose to either forsake her birthright or seize the gilded crown and become the Queen of Flesh and Fire. But as the kingdom's dark sins and blood-drenched secrets finally unravel, a long-forgotten power rises to pose a genuine threat. And they will stop at nothing to ensure that the crown never sits upon Poppy's head.

A lover and heartmate...
But the greatest threat to them and to Atlantia is what awaits in the far west, where the Queen of Blood and Ash has her own plans, ones she has waited hundreds of years to carry out. Poppy and Casteel must consider the impossible, travel to the Lands of the Gods and wake the King himself. And as shocking secrets and the harshest betrayals come to light, and enemies emerge to threaten everything Poppy and Casteel have fought for, they will discover just how far they are willing to go for their people.. and each other.

And now she will become Queen...
