Hii, my fellow readers. This week's book is 'Death' by Laura Thalassa. The last book in "The Four Horsemen" series. When humankind threatens to end, what will you do?

This was such a fun series to read. It was scary, exciting, and actually also very lovable. 'Death' was the book in the series that I wanted to read so much and I finally have read it. I must say, my expectations were a little too high, but I enjoyed it overall.

The characters were fun, but not too thrilling. I expected Lazarus to be a badass woman and she was a badass character in the beginning. She killed and ran from Death like a woman who stands for something. But that changed very quickly and she became naive and soft. Don't get me wrong, I understand why, but her character changed to fast (in a whip). Which made her way less badass...
Death aka Thanatos is the last Horsemen. He wanders through the world and kills instantly all humankind whom he passes. Except for Lazarus, and that's a mystery he can't let go of.
The other horsemen's entered this book as well, and I was so excited to learn more about their new lives. But what will happen if humankind threatens to end?

The world-building is set in an apocalyptic scene. They wander from city to city and house to house (more villas than houses). Furthermore, nothing special.

I was super excited to read Death. The last book in the series. Because Death was the horseman with all the powers of the horsemen, and he has wings. He was so much more villain than the other horsemen. I was curious how everything was gonna end. I'm not disappointed. I like the story, however, the middle was a bit too slow and everything ended with some smut (which was fun, but a bit boring after a while). I enjoyed the characters, mostly Death because of his character development. Yet, Lazarus went boring near the end in my opinion... I didn't like how her character turned out to be. The ending was thrilling to read and I loved how it turned out to be. I'm sad and also glad that I finished this series. I'm thrilled to read other books by Laura (I already read Rhapsodic, and I loved it). I recommend the Four horsemen series if you enjoy a thrilling, apocalyptic, romance book. Because who doesn't love a good romance?

Synopsis:
They came to earth: Pestilence, War, Famine, Death. Four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

He's known by many names; Thanatos, Horsemen, God's last angel. And then, of course, there's the one I'm all too familiar with...

Death.

The day Death comes to Lazarus Gaumond's town and kills everyone in one fell swoop, the last thing he expects to see is a woman left alive and standing. But Lazarus has her own extraordinary gift. She cannot be killed. Not by humans, not by the elements, not by Death himself.

She is the one soul Death doesn't recognize. The one soul he cannot pry free from her flesh. Nor can he ignore the unsettling desire he has for her. Take her. He wants to, desperately. And the longer she tries to stop him from his killing spree, the stronger the desire becomes.

When Lazarus crosses paths with the three other horsemen, an unthinkable situation leads to a terrible deal. Seduce Death, save the world. A hopeless task, made all the worse by the bad blood between her and Thanatos. But Death's attraction to her is undeniable, and try though she might, Lazarus cannot stay away from that ancient, beautiful being and his dark embrace.

The end is here. Humankind is set to perish, and not even the horsemen can stop Death from fulfilling his final task.

Only Lazarus can.

Love, ❤
