Hii, my fellow readers. This week's book is 'Empire Of Storms' by Sarah J. Maas. In this fifth installment of the NY bestselling Throne Of Glass series, Aelin will have to choose what- and who - to sacrifice if she's to keep the world of Erilea from breaking apart.

Yes, It took me a while but I finally finished this book. This was a huge book, and I think it could have fewer pages. Some parts took me a while to read, and I had a reading slump during this book. I don't know if it was the book or the busy days during the holidays. But it took me a lot of energy to read it. Especially because I had to concentrate on reading this book. There are parts where nothing happens and there are parts where a lot happens.

This series has a lot of characters. It's hard to know them all (especially if you don't read the books after each other). But I do enjoy that the side characters have some backstory. It bothered me a little how Aelin threatened others. She bosses everyone around with a lot of sassynes. Anyway, I do enjoy her as a character, even though she can be mean. There are multiple POV's so you can follow each story.

The world-building is big. My guess is that it's gonna be bigger. It's well-described and a fun world to discover.

I enjoyed the book, but it took me a while to finish. Mostly because I needed to focus during this read and because it has a lot of characters and side stories to it. This book has multiple POVs. Which I love, it makes more sense to the story (but it can be very tiring to read). The start was fun, the middle part was long and the pacing was slow. The ending had plot after plot and it ended on a big cliffhanger. This made me curious about the next book. However, I'm gonna wait to read 'Tower of Down' because I am afraid of another reading slump. I always get it after a book of the 'Throne of Glass' series. Mostly because the books are very thick and long. Some characters don't interest me, which leads to leaving my book for a longer time on the shelf when I come to their POV. But I do want to finish this series (If the rumors are true, then Sarah J Maas is gonna connect the series to each other).  Anyway, It was a fun book to read, but it took me a while. The characters are fun and exciting (not all of them), the world is big, the political aspect is very exciting, the war is thrilling, and the story of the God's are exciting to discover.

Synopsis:
The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius as war looms on the horizon. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those who don't

With her heart sworn to the warrior prince by her side, and her fealty pledged to the people she is determined to save, Aelin will delve into the depths of her power to protect those she loves. But as monsters emerge from the horrors of the past, and dark forces become poised to claim her world, the only chance for salvation will lie in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
