Hello, my fellow readers. This week's book is "Twisted Love" by Ana Huang. The first book in the Twisted series. Which contains 4 primary works at this moment. However, you can read each book as a standalone. Twisted love is a brother's best friend/ opposites attract romance with a hint of suspense. This book contains a possessive, morally gray alphahole, explicit sexual content, and profanity.

This story contains two POV's. One POV from Ava and one POV from Alex. Which are both our main characters.  Ava is Josh's little sister. A woman with such positive energy but a traumatic past. She is a little bit naïve, but furthermore a fun character.  Alex is Josh's best friend. He is a dark person with a dark and traumatic past. I liked him better at the beginning than near the end. In the beginning, he was dark and sexy. But near the end, he was too cheesy...

I really felt the steamy chemistry between these characters, but that faded during the story. Probably because Alex was getting cute and cheesy.

The world is just a normal world. The story mostly takes place in an apartment. So, there was no really world-building. It's a contemporary story, which doesn't make the world-building necessary. 

Overall, I enjoyed reading Twisted Love. There were parts that were exciting, hot, and steamy. But there were also parts that made me cringe really hard. The book tropes are what I search for in books. However, the story was written a little bit weirdly. For example. The ex seemed like an important (bad) character, and suddenly, he wasn't that important and the story twisted into a whole other story... It made me put the book down for a couple of days. I had more expectations of this book, and that made it less good to me (I think). Yet, would I read the other books in this series? Probably. I still enjoyed it, and I am curious to the other stories.
