Hello my fellow readers.
Today I'm gonna talk about the book 'Throne of Glass' by Sarah J. Maas. This is the first book (there are five 0.1-0.2-0.3-0.4-0.5 small stories/books before this one, However this is the first book of the series Throne of Glass). 

I love a good Sarah J. Maas book and this was again a book that I enjoyed reading. And here are the main reasons why:

The maincharacter Celaena is an assassin. What do I need to say more? I love a cruel maincharacter who is a women and can kill others like its that easy to do. I've got such powerfull feelings reading her role in this book. However she can be soft at heart and that makes it romantic.

Prince Dorian is such a womanizer, but when he truly get's to know Celaena, he becomes soft as well. He is a good man at heart and he get's wat he wants.

Chaol AKA Captain Westfall is the character in the book who wants the best for everybody. But what is he willing do do for it? 

Nehemia is a badass princess. I like her because she still cares for Celaena even when she didn't know the truth before and when she found out that Celaena is a assassin. We need more people like Nehemia in life.

"We all bear scars... Mine just happen to be more visible than most."

The world-building is fun, you get a dark place like the salt mines of Endovier. But then you get a castle of glass. Mine imagination whent crazy after reading this book. The map is a beautifull map. And it's a world that doesn't exists which I found fascinating. 


While I was reading Throne Of Glass. I bought the rest of this series because I knew that I was gonna enjoy this series. SJM is one of my favorite authors and she deserves every credit in the world for her books and how she describes certain things in her book. She did it with the ACOTAR-series and she did it with TOG as well. I really enjoyed reading this and I can't wait to finish the other books of this series. I hope you enjoyed this book as much as I did. 


Synopsis:
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her freedom on one condition, she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations. she'll serve the kingdom for dour years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilarating. BUt she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her.. But it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

The one of the other contestants turns up dead.. quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.
