Hii, my fellow readers. This week's book is 'Shatter Me' by Tahereh Mafi. The first book in the 'Shatter Me' series. An epic and romantic YA series to discover.

I really didn't know what to expect from this book when I started it. It is a YA book, and a YA book can be  'too sweet'. But I really enjoyed this story and how it was written. The romance is interesting and getting somewhere which triggers me to read more from this series.

The characters are really interesting. Our MC is Juliette (It's written in her POV). She can't be touched by anyone. She lives in dark and lonely rooms. Until she meets Adam and Warner. Adam is another MC, he is the hero who will do anything for Juliette. I like him, but there is something off about him.
Warner on the other hand. He is our Villain, and I must admit, he did some weird stuff that where not oké. But I like him the most (let's hope he doesn't have Tamlin vibes). He is more mysterious. However, I miss some relationship-building. They (Adam and Warner love Juliette) love each other for a long time, which is kind of strange. I am curious how the relationships are going to end.

The world-building isn't that big. It's a dystopian world, so there isn't much. You get an idea and your fantasy will fill the rest in. There is no map, but not needed.

I really enjoyed it so far. The fact that Juliette can't be touched is really interesting. I like how the characters are. I feel like it's going to be a love triangle. The writing is really good and I heard so much about these books that it makes me so excited to read them. I am gonna read the other books. When I look on Goodreads, there are books (1.5 - 2.5 - etc) from the other MC's POV. Which triggers me as well to read. I am going to continue this series because I can't wait to explore/discover them more.

Synopsis:
Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but the Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war, and the Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon or be a warrior.

Love, ❤
