Homemade tea.

Lemon verbena, mint and ginger. Those are the ingredients I use ( a lot) to make my fresh - homemade tea. I picked these herbs out of my yard and I boought the ginger in the store. It's really easy to make this tea, you peel the ginger and cut it into pieces. Pick the herbs and put all the ingredients into the teapot. Then you fill the teapot with hot water and 'voila'. Yet why do I choose these ingredients?

Mint
Is a popular ingredient in several foods and beverages because of the taste and the health benefits. It is rich in nutrients, it relieves indigestion. Mint improves the brain function, it decrease breastfeeding pain, improves cold symptoms, mask bad breath..etc. Mint is the kind of herb you want in your home for addition to food and drinks, but also for the health benefits.

Lemon verbena
The leaves and the flowering tops from the lemon verbena plant, are used to make medicine. The plant is also used as an ingredient in herbal teas, parfume and alcohol beverages. Lemon verbena is used for digestive disorders including indigestion, gas, colic, diarrhea and constipation. It is also used for agitation, joiny pain, trouble sleeping (insomnia), asthma, colds, fever, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, skin conditions and chills.

Ginger
We all know that ginger has a strong taste. We put it in our teas, eat it with some sushi.. But we don't know the health benefits of it. Ginger has (one of the highest levels) antioxidants, which prevents cell damage. Thanks to the antioxidant proportions, it acts as an anti-inflammatory, this means that the inflammation goes away when your body is repairing and ginger helps the body heal. Ginger treats nausea and vomiting, it also eass menstrual pains. Ginger regulate blood sugar levels and it treats indigestion.

These three ingredients taste good and they have great health benefits. it's healty, good when you are on a diet and when you're sick. So try it out! Let me know what you think.

Love,

DarkBlue.
