For Charlotte Holloway, the world ended twice. Th first was when her childhood crush, Dean, fell in love with her older sister. The second was when the Crimson, a curse spread through eye contact, turned the majority of humanity into flesh-eating monsters. Neither end of the world changed Charlotte. She's still in the shadows of her siblings. Her popular older sister, Harlow, now commands forces of survivors. And her talented younger sisters, Vanessa, is the chosen on - who, legend has it, can end the curse. When their settlement is raided by those seeking the Chosen on, Charlotte makes a reckless decision to save Vanessa: She takes her place as prisoner. Th word spreads across the seven seas. The chosen one has been found. But when Dean's life is threatened and resistance looms on the horizon, the lie keeping Charlotte alive begins to unravel. She'll have to break free, forge new bonds, and choose her own destiny if she has any hope of saving her sisters, her love and maybe even the world. Because sometimes the end is just a new beginning.

The cards hold the truth. Be careful what you ask. Maeve Chambers doesn't have any special gifts. That is until she finds a dusty old pack of tarot cards, and starts giving uncannily accurate readings to everyone around her. But when she reads for her ex-best friend Lily, a strange card appears in the deck and everything goes wrong. Lily doesn't come to school the next day, or the next, and Maeve knows she's been taken somewhere the police will never find her. Only the cards and something older, something even more powerful, can bring her back.

How nice it would be to make them doubt themselves for once. Make them see there were more things in the world than they were capable of explaining. Maggie has been accused of a terrible crime, but only her younger sister Kate believes her version of events. Now banished to a lonely, freezing house in upstate New York, Maggie and Kate are bored and restless. They begin to make mischief in the night to startle their parents. But the house seems to be waking up and whatever haunts it has a message for the sisters. Maggie sees her chance to finally be believed. But not all ghosts want to play fair..
This was the february box of bookboxclub. I really loved this box. I haven't read the books, but they are on my next reads-list. In each box you get an personal invitation to talk to the authors. On this invitation stands the date, hour and link to the site. Bookboxclub will send you a email with the login details. This box is just 28.99 pound, but I'm from Belgium so the shipping costs adds up to 12 pounds.. Bookboxclub releases every month a theme, so it's a surprise what you will get in your box.
They have different subscription boxes. If you are interested in these fun boxes. Go check them out on: Book Box Club – A Subscription Box & Secret Society for the Unashamedly Bookish
